Piña delight

I forgot how creative and tropical some Nicaraguans can be. We were served this delicious pineapple boat for dessert after lunch today, in a local barrio near Posintepe, Granada. It was actually one of the better, original local creations I have had in awhile. Apparently the pineapple was cut in two. The fruit was cut out and cooked in sugar, clove and cinnamon and then placed back into the pineapple, to be topped with orange pieces, whipped egg white frosting, little cherry candy pieces and those little sprinkles. Yummy!!!

Umm umm!!!
