If you have to get a MRI while you are on vacation in Nicaragua, I can recommend the best place to you. Go to the Hospital Metropolitano (Vivian Pellas), just outside Managua. I checked around (Hospital Bautista and Hospital Militar) and they have the cheapest prices and the newest and best equipment (according to many doctors). The test will cost you $329 (C$7390.46). You have to make the appointment two days in advance. Mine was at 8:00 a.m. and I was out by 9:00 a.m. I enjoyed that breakfast in the hospital cafeteria on the basement level.

Hospital Metropolitano is a very nice hospital! We just had a visitor get his executive checkup for less than $300...this is something that would cost about $1,000 in the States.
